Prairie View Farms

We are a third-generation purebred Angus operation operating 1000 acres of crop ground and 150 purebred Angus cows. Alan’s grandfather, Adam Schlipf, began the Angus tradition in the 1950’s with his brother Carl and became well known for their seedstock production of Angus in Illinois and the Midwest. Now Prairie View Farms has earned national recognition both in the Angus show ring and through breeding award programs.

Today, Orlan and Carol Miller together with son Alan and wife Theresa Miller operate the farm. We were proud last year to serve as host for the National Angus Tour in 2007, welcoming more than 400 Angus enthusiasts to our farm for a luncheon and farm tour.

All our calves are sold private treaty off the farm. We consign a few to various Illinois Angus Association sales as well.
