Welcome to

Prairie View Farms

Prairie View Farm is a third generation purebred Angus Ranch owned by Alan and Theresa Miller in Gridley Illinois in close partnership with Alan’s sister and her husband, Brandon and Cathy Jones. The farm raises donor-quality purebred Angus Females and Herd Sire Prospects to both Angus breeders and commercial cow producers. We market our product through an annual Fall Production sale the first Friday of April each year, and a series of online sales selling embryos, semen, females and bulls. We also market cattle privately throughout the year, and welcome visitors to the farm at any time.

About PVF

PVF Online Store Features

  • PVF Bulletproof 2051

Introducing an exciting young sire, PVF Bulletproof 2051.  Bulletproof was retained as an outcross calving ease option to many of our genetics.  And as his first calves hit the ground at PVF, we are now excited to share his genetics with you.  Warranty was added with Genex as a past feature of a Schiefelbein Sale, and his offspring have continually exhibited the style, balance and structural integrity that we demand.  The dam of Bulletproof traces back to the legendary PVF Missi 0084, and his grand dam, PVF Missie 5210 is a full sister to the National Junior Angus Show Reserve Grand Champion Female.

  • PVF Capone 2104

Mating King Pin to the dam of Marvel resulted in a herd sire we are truly excited about at PVF.  Capone’s breed-leading calving ease with tremendous balance across his full suite of EPD’s puts him in a class of his own for Angus cattle with the show winning genetics he possesses.  Capone is a massively constructed individual that is big footed, stout in his structure and wide from end to end.  He has a tremendous rib shape and look throughout his front end.

  • PVF Marvel 9185

PVF Marvel 9185, leased to Select Sires, Inc. is well on his way to becoming one of the most impactful sires ever produced at Prairie View Farms. Evidenced by his very first calves, which highlighted our Fall 2021 offering, he is destined to take his place as one of the leading sires of show ring champions in the Angus breed.  He is a grandson of the influential PVF donor, PVF Missie 0084, and his dam, PVF Missie 5245 has proven one of the most powerful young donors in the PVF lineup and produced the Supreme Champion Female at the 2021 Illinois State Fair.

Big boned, hairy, good looking and an awesome dam, this is right up our alley for the kind of cattle that we love!  When John made his trip west this spring this was one bull he stopped to see and made sure to send a video home, he was the real deal! The Stagemeyer family has proved they know good cattle and how to make them. Good Times is a bull that is big time good!  His dam was Reserve Divsion at Louisville and 4th overall as a calf at Aksarben, many time breed champ and swept her fair share of jackpots.  She is turning into a top end donor that makes the great ones. This is a bull you can’t help but love and brings one more dose of power, STYLE, and pedigree to the equation.

  • PVF Kingpin 0058

King Pin offers all the tools to have a huge impact on the Angus Breed.  He is a massively constructed, up-headed, proud individual who is outstanding on his feet and legs.  Sired by Blacklist, the dam from the Lucy Cow Family is a past NJAS Division Champion who has proven in the donor pen to send extra power and stoutness.   Included in her many production accomplishments is PVF Lucy 8225, whose many championships include Division wins at the National Junior Angus Show and National Western Stock Show.
